Released earlier this year the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G is outrageously priced starting at $1,299 which is significantly more than the non 5G S10+ which is now priced at $699. That type of price point isn’t going to get any user to be convinced that the 5G switch is worthwhile. There is hope though with the Galaxy A90 5G announcement that will provide users with an affordable option (no pricing yet but speculating to be in the $500-700 range) with specs that mimic flagships of the past 12 months and even more.

It looks to be by the end of 2019 there will be three 5G options from Samsung to choose from: Galaxy S10 5G, Note 10 5G, and this newly announced A90 5G. The specs leaked from the A90 are just simply impressive for a mid-range phone. Reportedly coming with a 6.7-inch display, Snapdragon 855 chipset, and an in-display fingerprint sensor, this phone seems like a flagship phone. The A90 will come in a 5G and non-5G version and both will have the triple-camera rear setup sporting a 48—megapixel main sensor.

Only downside to 5G version is it opts out of the Tilt optical image stabilization while the 4G version will have it. Also, no front-facing camera will be on the A90, which isn’t a downside because first there won’t be that screen real estate taken and second the triple-camera lens will have a rotary design. Probably the most interesting feature with the new A90 is the support for 45W fast charging on both options. This is extremely exciting because all of the S10 line doesn’t support it and even the announcement of the Note 10 is saying only the Pro version will have 45W charging. With everything heard so far, it looks like a no-brainer that this mid-range Samsung Galaxy A90 5G will be the best phone to buy for the value this year. Stay tuned to goHere Insights for updates regarding this highly anticipated device.
